Healthwatch Wolverhampton are currently investigating local people’s experiences of adult mental health services to identify how services could be improved.
They are gathering feedback from people who have used local mental health services and from people who support those with mental health, including family, friends, professionals, unpaid carers and support workers.
They will use the information and insight they gain to advise those responsible for Wolverhampton’s mental health services how they can improve patient access and experience.
They are also evaluating how the Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (which is responsible for mental health services in Wolverhampton), is involving service users in the Patient and Carer Race Equality Framework to improve the experience for people from racialised communities (Black, Asian and minority ethnicities).
Healthwatch Wolverhampton will publish their findings in autum 2024.
