Mary said:
“I am looking forward to being more involved with the direct care and support of those supported by the Wellbeing Teams. But I will greatly miss the whole team at Evolving Communities. They are fantastic, and they provide a really professional, high quality service and it’s been a pleasure to work with everyone.
“A highlight for me during my time here has been watching the Healthwatch teams in Somerset and Gloucestershire develop and flourish.
“But funding in our sector is so limited. The work that Evolving Communities produces with such limited local investment is a credit to the capability and professionalism of the Evolving Communities and local Healthwatch staff.”
Paul Lefever, chair of Evolving Communities, added:
“Mary has led the continuing development of Evolving Communities as we move forward into new and exciting areas of work.
“She has provided great leadership to the team and it has been a pleasure to work with Mary who combines a very professional approach to her work with a great sense of humour.”
A recruitment drive for a new CEO is underway and Evolving Communities board director Ian Price will stand in as interim CEO until the new appointment is announced.
