National award recognises our work with young people

A project which gave hundreds of young people a chance to speak up about mental health services has earned national recognition at the Healthwatch England awards.

The Young Listeners project, run by Evolving Communities earlier this year as part of its Healthwatch Wiltshire contract, scooped an award in the Volunteering category.

In partnership with Youth Action Wiltshire, Community First and local schools, Healthwatch mentored a group of students, supporting them to learn new skills and build confidence.

Lucie Woodruff, Chief Operating Officer at Evolving Communities, (pictured) said:

“The Young Listeners were fantastic to work with. It’s wonderful to be recognised on a national level for this work.”
