Dorothy House Hospice Care
Virtual Quality Improvement Panel
Help shape the future of Dorothy House services for people with a life-limiting illness
Join the virtual quality improvement panel and share your views from the comfort of your own home.
What is this project about?
Each year Dorothy House Hospice Care puts together an annual quality improvement plan. This forms part of their ongoing commitment to continuously improve the quality of their services. The plan is made up of a number of priorities that will be the focus of the coming year. These are shared publicly in their annual Quality Account – every NHS care provider is required to produce a Quality Account that reports on the quality of the services that they provide.
Dorothy House wants to make sure that their priorities and Quality Account are informed by people who use or have used their services. Therefore, they have asked Evolving Communities to set up a virtual quality improvement panel to make it easy for people to share their views.
What would you need to do?
We need you to complete one or two online surveys possibly a telephone interview. This can be done from the comfort of your own home.
We want to find out what you think Dorothy House should focus on in the coming year. For example, last year one of the priorities was around improving the gym facilities and another involved the introduction of iWantGreatCare, an online, real-time patient feedback system.
When would this happen?
We want people to let us know if they are interested as soon as possible, so that we can gather feedback between January and March 2020. Your views will inform priorities for 2021.
Do you need any qualifications?
No! Your experience is the most important thing to us. You can be a patient, family member or carer. We want to hear from people who are currently using Dorothy House services and those who have used them in the past.
How do you apply?
Contact Evolving Communities:
Phone 01225 701888 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
We’re still interested in recruiting panel members but if you would rather, just complete the online survey: smartsurvey.co.uk/s/DH-QIP/ (open until the end of March)
If you want to be part of the virtual panel, we will need to keep your chosen contact details, so that we can email survey links and arrange telephone interviews. This information will be kept in a secure, password-protected database accessible only to the project teams at Evolving Communities. Your contact information will only be shared with key team members at Dorothy House. You can withdraw your contact information at any time by getting in touch with Evolving Communities.
