Empowering people to influence positive change in health, social care and wellbeing services.

Evolving Communities CIC is run by a Board of Directors who are responsible for strategy and overall management and governance.  They have a wealth of experience and skills gained in the health, commercial and voluntary sectors, and they are committed to empowering people to influence positive change in health and social care services.

Ian Price

Chair of Board

Ian worked for a large telecoms company covering many roles including sales, marketing, business development/growth and sector leadership.  His final role before retirement was as the MD of a small technology business driving 50% sales growth over the final three years.

He has also volunteered for Citizens Advice but has stepped down from this role to concentrate on being a board member at Evolving Communities.

He lives in Devizes with his wife, who is also an Evolving Communities and Healthwatch volunteer, and they have three adult children and three grandchildren.  In his spare time, Ian is learning to play the piano.

Paul Lefever

Paul has retired three times. In his current retirement he is much involved in voluntary work for SSAFA and Citizens Advice and in the work of local Healthwatch.

He lived in Marlborough as a boy and made his home there again 25 five years ago.  He has three children, seven grandchildren and a dog called Rigby.

Margaret Morgan

Margaret has worked in communications for the pharmaceutical industry all her professional life.  As a result, she has a wide-ranging understanding of health issues, and an appreciation of the broad social, political and economic trends which influence practice and delivery.

A great deal of her experience has been gained working with national and international patient advocacy and support groups. These include Coeliac UK, The European Lung Foundation, Diabetes UK, Depression and Bi Polar Alliance (USA) and the American Heart Association.

Margaret is married with two adult children and lives in South Somerset. In her spare time she enjoys badminton, tennis, dog walking and is a school governor of two local schools.

Jacqui Burgess

Jacqui has a background in Human Resources at Board level, mainly in London Law firms, and ran her own HR consultancy business until approximately 2010.  She also has 13-years experience with Citizen’s Advice, as a volunteer adviser, supervisor and specialist employment adviser, along with other work in her local community.

As a community interest company, Jacqui is keen to bring her skills to Evolving Communities as ‘an organisation of social worth’.  She considers that any inefficiencies in the health and social care sector damage the otherwise high standards of care offered by our health professionals.
